Hello There!
I’m Oriana, and I’m what you might call a true cultural cocktail! I’m Venezuelan, but my roots stretch all the way to Germany and Spain, thanks to my wonderful parents. I grew up in a blend of European and Latin cultures, with a splash of American influence. My parents made sure I was fluent in both Spanish and English, which sparked my passion for languages from a young age.
When I was 16, I had to leave Venezuela for political reasons. That experience was incredibly challenging but also transformative. It really opened my eyes to the beauty of cultural diversity and broadened my horizons. After living in several countries, my husband and I decided to settle down in the stunning city of Barcelona. It was here that my dream of PrintasticKiddos came to life, inspired by all the wonderful experiences and cultures that have shaped me into who I am today.
As an ESL teacher, I was always on the hunt for printables that were educational and beautiful. But let me tell you, finding the perfect resources felt like looking for a needle in a haystack! I’d spend hours scrolling through websites, only to find materials that were boring and uninspiring for both me and my students. One especially frustrating evening, I thought to myself, “Why not just create my own resources?” And that, is how PrintasticKiddos was born!
I started designing printables that weren’t just effective educational tools but were also visually appealing. Think of them as the perfect mix of style and function, like finding that perfect pair of shoes that are as cute as they are comfortable. PrintasticKiddos quickly became my creative outlet and my way of making learning more fun and engaging for children.
Now, let me introduce you to the real MVP of my life: my lively two-year-old daughter. Becoming a mom added a whole new layer to my passion for education. Suddenly, I was seeing the world through the eyes of a curious little person who finds joy in the simplest things. And let’s be honest, managing toddler tantrums while trying to educate her is like juggling flaming torches—exciting, challenging, and sometimes a tad bit scary!
Balancing my life as a mom and a teacher has been quite the journey, full of trial and error. I've stumbled, learned, and grown through each experience, gathering countless tips and tricks along the way. I’m still learning every day, but I’m excited to share what has worked for me so you don’t have to figure it all out on your own. Whether it’s transforming learning into a fun adventure or finding creative ways to manage those inevitable toddler meltdowns, I have plenty of insights to share that can make your journey as a parent and educator a bit smoother.
